Break a plate and make some art!
Who wouldn’t love to break a plate, mug, or tile and use the pieces to create art? In this class we’ll transform everyday breakable items into original one-of-a-kind mosaic masterpieces. By the time we’re done you won’t believe they were once used in the kitchen! Students can choose to create either an 8" flower pot or 9" x 12" wall panel. You’ll learn about materials, adhesives, base items, tools, and grouting techniques. Broken Plate Mosaics will be offered at the Dave and Mary Alper JCC in Miami on March 7, 14, 21, and 28 from 6:30pm-8:30pm. 11155 SW 112th Avenue, Miami, FL 33176. For more information and to register please visit the JCC website. Students should bring an old hand towel to each class. Learn a skill, make some new friends, and join us for Broken Plate Mosaics! |
